I would like to talk to someone that has done an engine swap into their patrol with the stock tranny and transfer case or other.

What are you asking for your Patrol??

I'm looking at a Patrol for cheap. My questions are for information before I buy. I live outside the city and need to go in so my speed purpose is for travel and camping ect.. don't need to tow the thing around. The motor is very tired also so I was thinking of a Chevy 6 and ? for tranny. Maybe stoc...

I haven't thought about a Suzuki swap. Are the gear ratios higher? enough for at least 55-60 mph on the highway without over revving the engine?

Can the rear end gear ratios be changed in a Patrol? I need a better highway speed. Or am I stuck with an engine and tranny swap to get this? Is there a way to get this? Also is the Patrol motor Patrol only? I'm investigating buying a Patrol and am new all around to them. ntchbak@aol.com
