AZ from above

Not quite as cool four wheeling in Colorado, but got a chance to take our company jet to a job site and flew over the Grand Canyon. Kinda sad I live 4 hours away and this is the first time I have seen it.

Nice. It's still awe inspiring to see it from the air. But you really need to see it in person to appreciate it. Pictures just can't portray the hugeness.

Don't feel bad. I only saw Yosemite for the first time a couple of years ago, and I've lived in CA most of my life. Many years ago I was in Colorado at the top of the Rockies. I started talking to a tourist from Germany. She gave me hell because I had never been to Yosemite. :D

Matt, that is a great shot, but you have to go in person. The view from the rim is breathtaking! When you take that selfie, and look at it later, you'll swear you were standing in from a large mural.

RP, it has been a while, but we used to go to Yosemite when I was a kid back in the 60s. We lived in Fresno at the time. I barely remember and sorely need to return, but hear the tourist traffic in the area these days is horrendous! My fondest memory was racing my grandmother to the base of the falls one trip back after we moved away.

But, I live a few hours from the Gulf of Mexico and rarely get down there!!!
