On our '76 red one we were missing the cap from the clutch master cylinder reservoir ( all in one cast type). I spent a while walking about the place with different caps, milk bottle caps, oil can ones, lids from vegemite jars and so on. I stumbled across my 5L fuel can they gave me when I bought a Stihl chainsaw years ago. The lid looked about the right diameter so I tried it. Blow me down it screwed straight on. Not only did it screw right on but the child safety ratchet even works. A little push down and it screws right off again. I'll need to wait until I can drive the car before I will know if it leaks at all but for now it will keep the oil in and the bugs out.
Cheers
