I don't know him but I sent a pm a few weeks after his post and another one yesterday after you asked. Both messages are still in my outbox... meaning he's never read them. I believe that bird has flown, mr. Box.

Spiderbox,
Names get crossed but I seem to remember dvrack was changing axels or something so ask if everything is original.

After much thought and several conversations with friends who have restored vehicles and are avid off-roaders, I have decided that I do want a patrol, but the reason I want it is because I fell in love with it and I want to build up a really nice one, which conflicts as to why I was in such a hurry to buy one in the 1st place.

I have been in the market for a an off-road vehicle to take the family out on the trails, but I realized that with up coming trail ride events with friends and family, a Nissan patrol was not going to put me in ready to go situation, so I went out and bought a jeep. So, while my family and I go out and enjoy the trails this summer, I will also be lurking in the forums and in craigslist for a cheap patrol that will find its way home to me. Once I find it, I am going to take my sweet time building her back up so that in the end, I will have a nice patrol to show off and eventually pass on to my kids.

I just wanted to thank you all for the helpful advice and for looking out for me. AzSteve thanks again for going and checking the red one out for me. So, for now I am prepping the jeep, but I'll be back!

On a side note, I got a chance to meet Urban Patrol, her. She invited me to check out her new patrol. It was the blue one from ebay out of Arizona. Very nice rig! Gave me even more encouragement to find one and bring it back to life. Thanks Audrey!

Well boo hiss. :| At least you caught the bug. I glad that you got to see Audrey's Patrol up close and personal. We'll still be here when you finally decide to get one. ;)

no worries, I picked up this yard mule/daily driver the other day.. I had to sell off some other toys unfortunately. I needed something now, and my Plow Patrol was not moving along fast enough.. At least now I won;t be pressured to finish it up.

Ha, I thought I could sneak that one in... I'll have to take pics. I spot welded my 1/2 floor but then yard and house projects picked up... I'll post some pics in my thread. not to hijack this one..
