torque settings

Can anyone please list all the torque settings for the model P engine.

unfortunately typing all that up would take some time. Grant has the Service manual uploaded and is located in the pics section on about page 4 or 5. Yet it does not cover the engine....Stephen used to and probily still does a repo of the P engine manual on CD here at this site....go to the front page titled Home Page and scroll down. Lastly if you search the Patrol Information section you will find listings of things like literature. I listed a few places you can by all the manuals and part catalogs for the Patrol in that section.

The cd is real good, but the info your looking for isn't covered in detail like it should be. I copied from the cd parts that it gives torque settings for and it is hard to understand the way they describe things. Tightening torque of main bearing cap bolts 10 - 1 kgm (72- 80 ft/lb. Tightening torque Cyl. head bolt 55-65 ft/lb. (7.6-9. O Kgm) Rocker bracket bolt 31-36 ft/lb. (4.3-5. 0 Kgm) Tightening torque Connecting rod of cap bolt 5. 5 kg-m (40 ft/1b. ) Tightening torque of rocker B. K. T. bolt 4. 3 -5. O kgm I've seen charts that go by the grade of bolt markings. Each grade and size has a specific tightening torque. I guess that might be easier than going in blind. Can't remember where I seen the chart. I'll check my Austrailian service manual to see if it has any more torque settings. Keith
