Need some info on an engine conversion

Hi I have just done an engine conversion on my Patrol. Its a 4.1 Xf ford motor. Has anyone done one of these and if so what accelerator cable did you use? Im also having trouble with the radiator.I decided to convert it with the Ford type.Only to find out I cannot fit the clutch fan in as the radiator is to far forward. So I rely on electric fans . Any info on this would be appreciated as I have the motor going but have no idea what cable to use. Cheers Gary

im picking your an aussie, (not too many xf falcons in the US)i think repco still do a accelerator kit, with the pedal and everything. is that the fuel injected motor?

Hi TristanI am from Australia and the 4.1 engine is a carby type with all the pollution gear.I used an adapter kit and still using my original 3 speed.Have just put the engine in and gearbox and it all seems to be operating well.I just need the accelerator cable.I know you can get a universal cable but your idea of trying repco might be a good idea.I am using the Falcon radiator but not sure if this is a wise idea.I would love to use the orginal G60 radiator but the inlet and outlets are on the wrong side.Would need some extra long hoses thats if you can get them.What type of motor do you have in your G60 would be interested to know? if the carb is on the drivers side you could just make an arm to connect the linkage to the carby with the radiator hoses, you can pick up hoses from supercheap and just cut them and add exhaust tubing, make sure you use RTV silicone on the joins and clamp them up really tightive got the original 4.0 ltr enginei picked up mine for 100$ a few months back its pretty original and all i had to do to get it running was put gas in itim looking at getting this one here for spares http://www.trademe.co.nz/structure/auct ... =28535909i
