Rear wheel cylinders for a 63

Really old stuff that got saved. Here are the old Nissan Patrol Club America messages from the 'General' category. Warning, it's dusty in here!

Rear wheel cylinders for a 63

Does anyone have these available for sale or trade? I have tried honing the old ones I have and replacing the rubber parts with OEM gaskets, but they still leak! Does anyone have any suggestions for a fix?

Rear wheel cylinders for a 63

That is very disappointing to hear. People have said that was the way to go. Only thing I can think of is that maybe too much material was removed when honing, or the o'ring isn't tight enough to create a good seal.   The rear wheel cylinders have always been impossible to get. The only source for them was RMP&O, but that source dried up a while ago. There are none available in the US, but maybe in OZ or South America.
So, I just bought this Patrol….

http://www.brakecylinder.com/index.htmThese people can re-sleeve your wheel cylinders with a brass liner. Cost is $55 per cylinder, but it will last forever afterwards.good luck!Rob

That sounds great, thank you! I was hoping to find a way to avoid leaving little puddles of brake fluid wherever I go. I'll post results once I get them sleeved.   Cheers, Mike
