Reverse Light (OPT) Pics

Post by EricB »

Hi all

Who has the optional reverse light on their truck ?
If you do, can you please post up some pics of the light assembly / housing and its placement inside the rear bumperette ?

I've heard about it, read about it, but never seen it on a truck ...

Also, and sort of related, is there a way to search the photo gallery albums by keyword ? I'm not seeing that in the search options ...

Thanks

The reverse light first appeared on the true '69. There was a difference in the bumperettes to accommodate the light, the bumperette is notched out on the bottom edge. There is also a shield mounted behind the light to protect it from rocks and debris, just like the shield behind the true '69 tail lights.

The Gallery search is what it is, limited.

Do you have any pics Leslie ?

I'm just curious to see it on a truck ...

In a related question, what's up with this old 1966 for sale listing ?
http://www.foxmotorsports.com/index.php ... ils&id=177

Is that a reverse light below the license plate recess ?
So that is a home brew special then since the optional reverse light doesn't show up until true 1969 ?

Thx

Thanks Rick for the pic! :D

That '66 was purchased by a member here. The reverse light was indeed a home brew concoction.
