Took me almost 20 minutes to watch due to a painfully slow connection in the mountains of Georgia that I'm with my family. Almost impossible to go back and check the hinges!

The Patrol looks great even though is not original in many details. It's a unique model for Colombia and even for Ecuador. No SWB were imported to Colombia (?), only MWB, so it's rare. SWB were common in Ecuador but not in canvas top type. It looks that it had an easy life before.

The canvas looks vinyl to me, but it could be the phone view, and made to look like the last models of the 60 series or the 61.

Overall, good looking Patrol.

I will never even mention the words "Land Rover" or "Toyota". It's just me.

Yes, it is a very nice Patrol. I find it interesting that it has the later style tail lights. They look good on it.

The narrator references the local availability of parts for the Patrol. Does anyone have a relationship with him to establish a pipeline for the importation of parts?

Over the years, I have spoken to several individuals who are genuinely interested in buying and maintaing/restoring a Patrol, however they are very concerned with the scarcity of parts such as brake cylinders.

I've been in contact with Charlie before. Bringing parts over never came up. It has been tried before. Apparently because of customs in both countries it makes it pretty difficult and adds to the cost. I know Charlie has to jump through some major hoops to import his cars here.

Nice looking rig (as are all of Volcan's) ... The craftsmanship seems top-notch.

None of the subtle deviations from stock seem tasteless to me, nor detract from the appeal of the Patrol.
