First, our friends at FedEX dropped off our temp-shift-knob. Barritt was excited and proceeded to install it -- One handed even! (Barefoot too, but we can keep that quiet... Rob? River?
) She wasn't about to let that otter pop melt. The shifter knob may not be stock, but it looks good and she really likes it! 
Later, I made a couple of phone calls to our State Farm Insurance agent (they insure our other cars, house, etc.); 15-minutes later the orange '67 was insured! Full coverage even -- it as about $2/month more. At that price, why not? As of that moment, we could legally drive the Patrol on our California roads! Of course, since it's currently lacking an engine, we could legally push it down the street! Yay! <-- Did you catch that? LAW ABIDING! Later, Jay, Barritt and I took a trip up to AAA's DMV services (BTW, that alone is worth the price of AAA Road Service! I haven't been to the real DMV in years AND I haven't waited more than 5-minutes for DMV stuff in the same time window!). We wanted to surprise Emily and actually get her aerogrl plate registered to the Patrol. Done! It's now officially Aerogrl. BTW, we also have the domain aerogirl.com -- it's a bit stale, but Em posts some of her art there.
It's official -- Our orange '67 is officially AEROGRL -- And Em is happy. Next, Jay and I lifted the engine off the stand its been on for months. It's now dangling on the engine crane, right near it's home!
After a trip to Ace Hardware for some shiny new Grade-8s, we got the bell housing installed
After the picture above was taken, I spent some private-time with the engine struggling with the flywheel... And oh, boy it was a struggle! Those bolt holes did not want to line up. Finally, I used the clutch alignment tool as a way to take a break from holding that beast up. One by one, I rotated the flywheel one stud at a time until they lined up and it FINALLY slid on. Does anyone know if the six bolts are not symmetrical? Might make sense if they balance the flywheel. Perhaps it was just luck that I had so much trouble lining it up.
Big plans for the weekend... if everything works out! Going to try and get the clutch installed; the trans/transfer case attached and the shifter/brake linkage installed...
