Re: Add injury to injury
Still in a cast.
I am so way past ready to be out of this thing.
I go back to the Dr on the 30th and I think the cast will come off then and I'll get a walking boot, air ride type. Then lost of physical therapy. The arm is still in a sling but doing better. It's kind of at the dangerous point right now because since it feels a little better I am tempted to use it more, but it will re-break if I do. Must use restraint.
Probably a couple more weeks with the sling.
And all I can think about is what perfect weather it is for working on Patrols!

Hope your injury gets better soon, I've never broken any bones or been in a cast, but I don't imagine it been much fun. Hope you getter better soon and back on your feet

Your method of scootering around did the trick but did not look like much fun, I can't image being in a cast for that long!RiverPatrol wrote:Still in a cast.I am so way past ready to be out of this thing.

Re: Add injury to injury
Ha! Yeah, said scooter is a life saver for getting around when you can't use crutches. But it does get a little tricky balancing sometimes. And watch out for any little pebbles on the ground, they will stop you suddenly just like a skateboard!
Yet if I had use of all my limbs I think it would be fun to ride the thing up and down the driveway.

I could see myself doing that. Add a remote control airplane engine to it as a friction drive on one of the wheels and some cutting brakes!!!RiverPatrol wrote:Yet if I had use of all my limbs I think it would be fun to ride the thing up and down the driveway.
