Beware of Scams When Selling Your Patrol

Hey Fellow Patrol Owners,   I recently put my Patrol up for sale on the club site and Craig's list, and within two hours or so someone calling themselves DavidRobert@atlas.cz emailed me wanting to buy the car. He wanted to have his client, who owed him money, send me a check for more than the sale p...

Rims

Hey Gary,   Thanks for the additional info. I don't plan on putting the split rims on unless I convert my Patrol from the everyday driver it is right now to a once or twice on the weekend car. I've got a load of other mechanical priorities right now, i.e., conversion to dual master brake cylinder, p...

Rims

Yeah. I'm happy with my rims as well, but I would like to have a set of the split rims for originality sake.   I've also heard they're a bit dangerous.   Thanks.   -Joe

Thanks for the info GTB and Roc8man. It looks like the 15" split rims are what I should get.   -Joe

Rims

I'm thinking of buying a set of original rims for my '67 Patrol, but I'm not sure if it came with the 16" one piece or 15" split rims originally. Can anyone shed some light on which year Nissan switched to the split rims?   I'd appreciate any help anyone can give me on this.   Thanks.   -J...

Tool Box/floor mats

I have the original tool box. It's made of metal (approx. 1.5 ft long x 10 inch acress and maybe 3 inches deep), tan in color and has the Nissan logo stamped on the top. I'm not sure what it originally came with, but I have several box wrenches, a crescent wrench, a tire wrench and a screw driver th...

QUESTION ABOUT ORGINAL SEATS

Grant,   You are correct in your assumption that your seat may not be original. I have a '67 and the Driver and Passenger seats are split, with both seats lifting up separately to expose the battery on the driver's side and a tool area on the passenger side. Unfortunately, I don't have an extra set ...

Patrol Questions

I guess I was lucky with the Alternator. I came with my Patrol. It is definitely held in by the usual, slotted, and thus, adjustable alternator bracket, and it looks like someone spliced up the wiring to make everything work. I'll have to take a closer look at it and see if I can give you more infor...

Read this message-or else!

Hey Alex,   I recently heard the same kind of reasoning as to why the Patrol didn't make it in the US after '69. I heard that it specifically involved the importing of 240Zs, and Toyota saying it wouldn't introduce a competitor if Nissan backed off the Patrol. So we must be onto something here. It m...

Soft Tops

I believe they stopped making the half doors after 1965. On my 1967 and on a 1969 I saw, there are no half doors. The door is a single unit. I wish they had made them on my year. They looked pretty cool on the 1965 I saw.   Joe W.
