valve cover gasket

ok, i know someone out there has taken their valve cover off sometime and had the need to replace the gasket. well, i need to take mine off but don't want to have the worry of tearing the gasket and not being able to find a new one. so if anyone out there could help me that would be great. thanks. I managed to pick up a couple from Nissan about 2 years ago. I remember them being quite pircey, about $20 each I think, but I wanted 2 so I would have a spare. And they are composed of asbestos too, or so the bag claims. Big surprise. They have probably been on the shelf since the 1970's.
