Vacuum Advance

I had some problems with the carburator so I brought it into a auto shop because my dad and I couldn't figure it out.Come to find out my carburator wasn't the only problem, the diaphragm no longer works. So he advanced the timing a little bit for a temperary fix. I was woundering if any one has any info on where to get one, or any advice on what I should do. Thanks   Jeff
