Japan Connection Update....
Hello fellow Patrol owners... Some of you may remember my posts about talking to Nissan Japan and a special order I had place directly to Japan. Well, I couldn't believe it but Nissan America got me the December 1980 microfiche completly free, thanks to my contact in Japan and the most helpful lady working at Nissan America. I think this goes to show Nissan gives a s**t about the 60 series and that the old fashion way of getting things done still works. This 1980 parts catalog is what Nissan Japan use for refrencing parts for the 60 series Patrol...and yes numbers have changed a lot over the years. Also most USA dealer do not have these part numbers...now granted a fair share is NLA but many things people have been having trouble getting like rear wheel cylinders are still available from Nissan, you just need the correct part number. I am going to have this 1980 parts catalog that is on microfiche converted to cd and then I will offer it to the club. Lastly, my special order has hit many bumps but parts are showing up and these are NLA parts! I should have some soon and will update then....I have found a dealer who is doing a great job getting me these parts and if it works out then you to can buy from them

Well...This thread is about the 60 series Patrol sold from 1960-1979/80. I have no info on MQ Patrols because they are none in the USA. As far as I know you can get a manual for your rig online, sorry don't have the url in front of me....and as far as I understand you can still get most all parts for your later model Patrol. I think all you need is a parts catalog and the right dealer to buy from....good luck! Ian

FUD! NICE WORD! If there is anything we can do to help out with the micro -> CD process let us know! I hope it coverts it to TEXT and not a picture of the micro. That way we could use "searches" to find things. But, even if it is a picture, there is software out there that can convert a picture of a word to text. Anyway, keep us posted! This is the best news sense... sense... Huh... actually this is the best new ever! Grant

Japan Connection Update....
Well...I just got the box from Japan a few days ago. I was very happy to see the parts as some might remember these parts are no longer available in the USA. Matter of fact if you don't have the right part numbers and a connection I don't think you could convince Nissan Japan to sell them to you. This is a very slow process right now but is turning up good results....hopefully before to long I will have the 1980 micro-finche on CD and also have the info you need to order these NLA parts yourself. If you are curious about what NLA stuff I got my hands on...here is a list; -NEW turn signal assemblies, complete with glass lens! -New brake lines (yes the NLA front ones) -New distributor complete (not waterproof) -NOS 1st gear for Tranny -NOS tranny counter-gear assembly The stuff listed as NEW is not NOS stuff as it is dated and has been made in the last few years. This is only 5 NLA parts from my order of 40 but to me it is great! :-D Ian BTW....a petion may still be needed as it is very very hard to convince Nissan Japan to sell US these parts. They simply say...."there is no market for these parts in the USA" and this is still after I got in direct touch with Nissan Japan North American Parts Division, the 1980 micro-fiche from Nissan Japan and a letter hand delivered to Mr.K in Japan. The parts are there people....WE JUST HAVE TO CONVINCE NISSAN JAPAN TO SELL THEM TO US.
