first learned to drive in my brothers 65 patrol in around 1979-80 on our farm when i was 9 , he drug it out of the weeds and rebuilt it, before that me & the neighbor kids would play and climb all over it and let our imaginations run wild. He sold it in the late 80’s and i lost track of who owned it. But i always kept his box of spare parts and manuals and every time i moved so did they. NOS window felts & wipers . Vent window rubbers , side & back window rubbers. Well i would randomly look for patrols for sale most either to beat or to far away, lived in PA where most rusted away. Moved to Vegas in 2020 and i love the desert for the lack of rusted vehicles.
His patrol started my passion for 4x4 vehicles of all kinds , blazers, broncos, scouts, yota’s & samurai’s hell even troopers dosnt matter old trucks or family cruisers. Right now it’s my 46 Willy’s Cj2a . Then less than 10 miles from me a 65 popped up for sale add was 5 months old when i saw it figured they sold it and never deleted the add on FB . Well lo and behold it followed me home on the trailer.
I will get to use the window gaskets i have been hanging on too since 1988 ish, & my brother wants to be one of the first to drive it
