Soft Top Patrol TerrellTX

Post by Dixonsix »

New Patrol popped up on my search.
Soft top frame looks to be in good shape.. Canvas not so much.

Description from Ad:
1970–1972 Nissan Patrol 60 Series Soft Top – Complete Survivor Project – Rare

Description
For sale is a very rare Nissan Patrol 60 Series soft-top project. These early Patrols are the Japanese rival to the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40, but far harder to find in the U.S.—especially this complete.
This is an honest, untouched survivor that has been sitting for years. What makes this one special is that it is complete and still has the original safari soft-top frame, which is extremely hard to find and highly desirable for restorers.
What’s there:
Original soft-top/safari frame (rare)
Original dash, steering wheel, gauges
Grill, lights, trim, badges intact
Body is straight and very restorable
Rolls and steers
True project, not picked apart
Condition:
Has been sitting a long time
Engine condition unknown
Rust present but very savable
Interior and hardware largely intact
This is the ideal candidate for a restoration, patina build, or overland project. These trucks routinely sell for big money when restored, and projects like this are getting nearly impossible to find.
If you know what this is, you know how rare it is to see one this complete.
No title / bill of sale

Price
$9,500 OBO

Ad says '70 to '72,; but would that be correct with the three vents under the windshield? When was the change to two vents?

The change to two vents was in '68. This is a '66 or '67.
Beyond any hope for intervention
