1969 Patrol in Magnolia TX
Hey all,
As I begin my search for available parts, I ran across this P69 Patrol in Magnolia TX. I have to admit that I was mostly interested what appears to be a factory PTO with shifter. Being such a new member, I feel I should get my 66 road worthy before I start claiming dibs on other patrols so will pass on this info. jwgreen, I sent you a PM on this but not sure it went through (it shows it is really close to you). In the spirit of this forum, someone please go rescue this unit for a build or for salvaging the parts.

*** read posting rule suggesting a picture****
P.s. jwgreen- Thanks for the Disc brake conversion brackets. This will be my first major add. Pics to follow

For that price it's almost worth it just for the PTO.
Beyond any hope for intervention

Re: 1969 Patrol in Magnolia TX
Well done Justin!
....I hope you plan on getting that pristine Patrol dirty some day. My place in Camp Wood place will put it to the test!
We used the forward electric winch on my 1 ton Dodge to get out of several creek beds and move boulders out of our trail
. I have some great video of the action but it never converts
clearly when I try to upload it.
I have flipped back and forth on electric Vs PTO. Now I know. For small jobs the electric winch is fine
but if you need to winch up a mountain (which is possible at Camp Wood) or do any meaningful work...like moving boulders and and trees after a flash flood....then the PTO is the only answer.
Get that Patrol finished!

I'm trying to get my pretty one finished up so that I can then make this one into a trail rig that I don't mind getting scratched and dented. One of these days it will all come to fruition.
