60Patrol

Anyone have successful methods you have used to bring back (improve) the original paint on your Patrol? Ours won't get new paint in the foreseeable future, but would like to make the original paint look as good as possible. There is some surface rust in areas also that will have to be addressed.

What methods have you used that were successful?

TR3 Resin glaze and a good buffer. Takes down the oxidation and polishes the paint. That's all I've ever used. You'll be amazed.

Wow, didn't realize TR3 was still around! What type of pad do you use on the buffer River?

I got a kit that had 3 different grades of buffers. They were sponge type. I don't remember the brand.

TR-3 not really an option in Australia. Any other suggestions??

A very fine polishing compound (I've used Turtle Wax White polishing compound https://www.turtlewax.com/products/poli ... r-105fl-oz ), followed by a polishing wax. Save your arm, use an orbital buffer.
