I just need a wiper or two
I have a seemingly simple need. I just need 2 wiper blades. The blades that came with my truck were jerry rigged to the wiper arm so I threw them out. I have a bayonet type wiper arm and the tip of the bayonet is only 4 or 5mm wide which is too small for the attachment of nearly every wiper blade on this earth. The closest I have came to an answer is here:
https://www.60patrol.com/forum/viewtopi ... arm#p33575
Stamped on the inside of the wiper arm it says, "Z256 made in Japan NWB Lic. Trico" Who else has that wiper arm and what wiper did you buy for your truck?
I have ordered these, but after measuring my bayonet width of 4 or 5mm, I don;t think they're going to work:

See the pictures for reference. I compared the skinny Patrol arm with that of a conventional arm on my Jeep. Note the difference in width.
Thanks, Tom

Re: I just need a wiper or two
Someone posted about using I think a Dodge truck wiper arm to replace the Patrol arm somehow but I can not seem to find the post now. Maybe someone with better search skills can find it....

There was a discussion on inserts here: https://www.60patrol.com/forum/viewtopi ... per#p40557

Re: I just need a wiper or two
In addition to RiverPatrol comments and the link she posted, I have the same wiper arms. What happened with yours is what I did with mine years ago. I took apart a termination on the wiper arm that engages in the wiper. That original wiper was almost impossible to source, but once you remove the termination, a bayonet type is exposed (5mm or 7/32") and you're able to use some regular wipers. You can see what I refer to by looking at some photos in the link she posted.
The wipers that will fit are Carquest 11-51 or Trico 11-51
Good luck

Re: I just need a wiper or two
Thanks Patrollers! My fears were not justified as the wipers came today and they fit perfectly in my 5mm wide bayonet wiper arms. When I installed the blades in the wiper arms, they clicked in as though I was chambering a round.
The arm has "Z256 Trico" stamped on the underside of it. My Patrol is a "76 from Columbia but I am not sure if the arms are original or not, but if you have the same arms (for the guy like me who has the same problem 10 years from now and does a forum word search), these should work: https://www.amazon.com/LAFORMO-Stainles ... B091TKT6LD
Thanks again everybody.

Plus a little humor I came across at the local alternator / starter rebuild shop....
