There may be something there. I have asked for more info. I will post when I receive a reply. I would recommend not contacting this person. The last thing we need is the price quadrupling because they have been bombarded with the same message I sent. It looks farley rust free which is amazing. But I don't know about the rest.

Well, no significant additional info. But a bunch more photos on the FB listing. The motor has been partially disassembled and parts are in the vehicle. The price is $1000 obo and they want it gone soon! Anyone interested? Where is L60Boerne when you need his money and trailer?

I see the original side steps and mirror. Looks like the engine parts in the cab. The photos aren't great but it appears unmolested and no big rust holes. I would guess you could pick it up for half the asking price. It is tempting as it is only about 2-1/2 hours from here.

Makes me shudder.

But still- tons of value here as a parts rig for anyone doing a mid-66 or later resto.

I am trying to get in touch with L60Boerne. Its and hour from his cabin in Lake City and he may have his trailer sitting there as well. I hate to see it go to the scrap yard.

Darn, that was a winner. It is a pre 66 based on the steering wheel and a few other points. Sorry I missed it, those are the parts I really needed. Anyway, I can report the "Boat Club of Victoria Falls" provides its members a modern Nissan Patrol for forays into the National Park. I caught a few Tiger fish and a really nice Zambezi bream before driving 13 hours SE to the Save Conservancy for hunting. After almost 30 years in the bush I finally saw lions. I've been minutes behind many a lion but new actually saw one. On this trip the winter rains, which generated an abundance of winter grass, plus the ever present lions, left the buffalo in herds between 75 and 500. Which made them almost impossible to get close enough (max of 50 yards) for my double rifle. Regardless the village got fed three buffalo before we left.

Almost worth missing that patrol.
