Warn Locking Hubs

My ‘69 has Warn Locking hubs (M49?) that need help. Any guidance on rebuild kit/video to bring this vehicle back to 4x4 functionality?

I paid for a very expensive lesson on these several months ago. My advice is to disassemble them and grease them.
They are almost impossible to actually break. But when gritty or with really old grease they don’t engage, even if you can turn them to the lock position. If you are certain of good grease replace with Warn. None of the others and I bought them all fit, regardless of what they advertise.

After an hour of reviewing the thread on Presidio Patrol I can't find where I documented it, but I remember installing new ones. I think they were Warn from Jegs. My spare parts spreadsheet indicates I had a set of Selectro Hubs in stock as of 2018. I recently tried those and the inside diameter was too small for axle shafts on the red 65.

Still, after looking through the parts I can't believe they would ever wear out, though when dirty or filled with fouled grease it seems like they are failing.

When reviewing the Presidio Patrol thread I remain grateful for all the help I received from you, Esteban, Rob, Justin, Flaggoni, Mild Bill, Coyote Patrol, Pateaucal and many others.

What a group of givers. I am still amazed. If the world operated like that we would have a much better planet.

It's possible an old set of Warn's showed up on eBay and you snagged them. I thought though that there was a MileMarker set that worked. But MileMarker became Selectro, which you say don't fit.

Yes, Selectro became Mile Marker....and once again you encylopedic memory has shaken the loose nuts in my void. I think you are right. I think we did come back with Mile Marker hubs . One way or the other we will confirm as soon as we can.

It looks like my ‘69 has Warn M47 (or M47D) locking hubs. Does this sound correct? Attached are two photos, a pic of mine and a pic from on-line that is identified as Warn M47D. Just trying to confirm what I have. Currently one hub will lock in place, one will not budge. I would like to take off, clean and reinstall to see if that resolves the issue.

Look carefully at the bolt heads, they have keeper ears on them. Just bend them straight and proceed.
