Engine Block leak - need help

Post by kyoungbball »

How accessible are engine blocks and gasket kits? Looks like I have a leaky block on my 65. Does anyone have any thoughts on this or how to best solve this issue?

Thank you.

It would be easier to offer help with more specifics. What is leaking - oil or water? What area is the leak coming from? What makes you think it's the block? If there is a hole in the block you're best off finding a complete engine, people give those away just to get rid of them at times.
Beyond any hope for intervention

He might be referring to the water plugs in the block. Those can be changed from the outside. But there’s one in the back of the block that needs the engine out.
