Ring and Pinion needed

Post by Slowtech »

*Update, Parts and Trans Found*

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone, specifically the California/ west-coast folks have a ring and pinion or rear that they would be willing to sell me. I recently stalled out at a light and discovered that the previous owner of my Patrol missed a few parts upon reassembly last time the rear was serviced. Anyway, my rear overheated as the pinion was rubbing on the diff and then we snapped a bunch of teeth etc.

ANYONE have one to sell me?

I am located near Los Angeles.

I've got what you need, but it's 385 miles away...

If no one in Cali can hook you up, hit me with a PM.

Ouch! I don't think I've ever seen one so grenaded! :o

It would probably be easier just to drop an entire rear diff in, and easier to find one. If you'd be interested I happen to have a heavy duty H260 complete rear diff. Same gear ratio, built for heavy use and hauling. I have yet to see one of our Australian friends break an axle in one of these. Also as an option, I do have an NOS in the original box ring and pinion, I don't know if I have all the bearings and races needed to go with it, certainly I have some though.
Beyond any hope for intervention
