A few minor updates

Post by plateaucal »

This is my tinkering list for the year, not much but I am running out of things to do on it. The drivers side mirror came from a fellow 60Patrol member. Thank you so much. I finally bit the bullet and installed the passenger side stalk with an aftermarket mirror. And because I was really bored I added a swing away gas can carrier.

I have no idea why the photos rotate when I post them.

since you're bored and out of ideas, you can stop by my place and work on my mess. I will have lots to do for the foreseeable future.

This is just a guess, but I bet that you're probably using Tapatalk on an iPhone or iPad to upload the photos.

It's the forum platform, it doesn't recognize the orientation instructions in the photo from phone pictures. Not much I can do about it other than migrate the entire website.

Those are Hercules Trail Diggers. Load range E in 235-85-16. Very aggressive looking but surprisingly very quiet. They are on '67 rims. I still have the 15" split rims but couldn't find much selection on tires for that wheel. I send my photos from my phone to e-mail and then save them. Oh, well. That's why we were born with a neck.

Plateaucal,

You know I'm close and needy. This summer I gotta have a swing away fuel can. Then someday ... and after seeing your dual reservoir brake system..I need that too but it is't not as cool as the swing away tank.

Well done!

Ready for summer,

Well Mr. L60Boerne,

The gas can carrier is a prototype. I think if we put our heads together we can improve on that. The new brake system is still working well and I am confident in it. It's a good modification. Back to the gas can, here is the cool part, my latch. See if you can recognize what it is.

Oh yes Plateaucal...I was wondering what happen to my passenger side windshield latch after our whiskey infused test drive up that rain soaked trail last fall!

No worries I cut a leg off a pair of vintage pantyhose I found down at the dump and have it lashed closed. Win - Win!

I'm ready for more fun!

What I do to get around this is to upload the pictures to my Gallery. The Gallery allows you to rotate the picture. Then I attach the Gallery picture to the post. And extra step, but saves someone a pain in the neck. :|
