How to remove choke handle?

Post by ckhorne »

Can anyone tell me how to remove the knob for the choke? I've tried everything I can think of, and I just can't get it off without feeling like I'm going to break it....

Your choke cable looks to be an aftermarket. Probably you have to pull the knob with all the cable (or wire) out. Will be very difficult to fit it back due to the kinks already in place. Those are around $10, so maybe trash it?

Ahh... I've had a number of parts on this thing that I've later learned were aftermarket... I never suspected the choke cable.

I'll just pull it all out and replace it. Thanks!
