Well I just finished the last upgrade to my 69 patrol that I restored last summer. please don't be mad stock patrollers. But I moved back up to Michigan and we have some great dunes and mud so I wanted to make it HWY and trail worthy. I added a SBC 350 with 700R4 Auto transmission in her and she fit like a glove then took the front 12" off of a Jeep YJ and cut 12" off the patrol front frame and fab them together in order to use the disc brakes, power steering and steering linkages worked awesome. Plus, Jeep parts are much cheaper and easier to find. I then added a 4.5 YJ lift on it (leaf's, shocks) with 33" tires. That's all stuff that sits under the body. I really wanted to keep everything on the outside stock looking and I think I accomplished that. Gotter done in 6 weeks and drive it everyday it's amazing how many people stop and take picture and say (I never heard of a Nissan Patrol)

What a total transformation. Well done!!

Looks like the Chevy V8 is fitting perfect, but with not much room to spare on the sides. I'm sure some members will be interested in looking at some pictures of the engine mounts.

Also, your solution to the power booster and master cylinder combo. They look great.

What was the final destination of the engine, and whether you rebuilt it?

Thanks my friend! I actually still have most all of the parts that I removed. I'm going to sell everything. The original motor has 95K on it and smokes a little, but runs great.

Thanks, If anyone knows of another Patrol for sale I would love to do another one. This was so fun to work on I'm sad that I'm done. I just finished fabbing up my roll cage out of 2 Wrangler roll cages so Saturday I'm taking her up to Silver lake sand dunes to test er out. I will post some pictures these dunes are full of jeeps, lifted trucks but I am so excited to be the first Patrol to ever hit em. I guarantee I will be the only Patrol on the dunes Soooo excited

There appears to be a very good original 66 for sale on ebay. The Utah barn find is said to be 100% rust free and operational. Has PTO winch too. Wife or third Patrol, I can only keep one. Better be satisfied with two but that sure looks to be a great starter. Still very cheap in my opinon, the bid closes Weds at 2:54 MST.
