Hi and thanks for having me i just purchesed a 63 soft top project from a member and am looking forward to getting it on the road to enjoy it i will be looking for many parts here in the new year and look forward to dealing with some great people who enjoy the Patrols. Thanks again. Steve S

Good morning. I just completed a bumper to bumper rebuild on a 63.....so with the tireless help from the Patrol Whisperers herein it can be done with little mystery. My advice would be to fix these systems in this order so you don't have to re-fix things.

a). Motor
b) Electrical
c). Transmission
d). Brakes
e). Suspension (don't lift)
f). Body and Paint

Find the best old school mechanic you can. Make sure he is good. Have him or them coordinate their efforts. After paying mechanics to rebuild multiple old vehicles the most wasted money I've spent is when I have had to switch out mechanics. Mechanic B will charge you to re-fix everything from mechanic A. Mechanic C will charge you to rebuild everything from mechanic B.
