I have a 67 and I am looking for a working voltage regulator or even one that might work. I am trying to covert it back to a generator. It currently has a GM alternator which I am sure works fine but it's not right and it is horribly bracketed.

Nice looking 67! Regarding the desired voltage regulator, are you looking for the correct one to go with a generator, or something for the aftermarket alternator I see in the 67 photo?
I see your Datsun fleet history... I've owned a '69 510, a '68 1600 Roadster, a '70 pickup, and, since 1973, my 1964 L320 pickup that I still drive regularly (today, even)
Also, I chose to run the original split-rims on my 68 Patrol. This type of two-piece wheel is very strong and safe. Some other styles are dangerous. Split rims were very common on trucks when I worked for a tire store in the early '70s (in Ventura, CA. Before I became an Okie)

Nice collection of Datsuns indeed. I am looking for the stock voltage regulator. I have obtained a generator. The current alternator belongs on a chevy.

You need the old carbon pile voltage regulator for the generator.

Brian, I think there is/was one for sale on eBay from Scott in Parker, CO.
I bought most of his other parts in prep for rebuilding Presidio Patrol's motor in Jan-Feb.
Checked on your hard top today. Still safe and snug in our Barn.
