Shifter Boot Retainer Brackets

Post by L60Boerne »

SOS

Once again I'm vexed by trying to source the retaining brackets that hold the dust boots down onto the transmission cover. Raul has a couple of great pictures of these in his yellow Patrol pictures.

I will gladly buy new or used.

If you have a set you can part with, please let em know.

Have you sourced vinyl boots or are you using the aftermarket rubber boots. The retainers only work with the vinyl boots.
Beyond any hope for intervention

RiverPatrol,
I have the rubber boots like Raul's yellow Patrol. I was able to reuse the retainers off my 65 vinyl boots and make them work on the rubber boots from Columbia. Just like Raul did, if you look at his pictures closely.

Thanks to all, I think they are available in Columbia. I've asked Raul to search around before he ships my canvas. We will see, I think I can make some if necessary but in the meantime if any has a set please let mw know.
