eBay Parts from Kuwait

Post by L60Boerne »

I have received wiper arms, key and ignition switch and E-Brake pads.

Please note, they are Nissan parts but are not for our Patrols.

Is that the same stuff I see on Ebay from Kuwait? Some of the stuff looked right like the choke cables but I saw a few things that did not look right.

Many if not most of his items are correct for our Patrols. I have yet to see one of his items mis-listed. Sometimes you do need to be aware of changes between years, for instance the ignition switch changed in '67. If you aren't sure, ask. We are all willing to help keep a fellow Patroller from spending money on wrong parts. I have bought many parts from the seller in Kuwait and have always been pleased.
Beyond any hope for intervention

RiverPatrol, I agree, if I could ask the right questions I would make fewer mistakes and this forum has endless patience for Patrollees like me so I have no excuse. Several items have worked and he is well intentioned. I'm glad to hear you have had such good luck. I will try harder to understand what I am buying BEFORE I buy it.
Thanks again,

Be very careful buying parts catalogues from a seller in Kuwait. Often advertised as OME but actually a "shonkey" reproduction.

If it's same guy in Kuwait we're talking about, then I agree with Leslie- His parts are often for later model-year Patrols that are not backward compatible with US market 62-69 Patrols. The buyer has to do their due-diligence up front regarding parts-compatibility.

But he does offer up some really cool (and ultra-rare) early Patrol parts from time to time.
