Compatible Turn Signal Switch?

Is anyone familiar with a turn switch from another model Datsun or Nissan (or any vehicle for that matter) that is compatible with the '69 Patrol? I've reviewed the updated compatible parts list and searched the forum without success.

When I purchased my '69 it came with an aftermarket universal Grote switch which is huge and partially obscures the gauges to the left side of the steering wheel. It also does not automatically switch off with the turning of the steering wheel.

I'm looking at Datsun Sunny 1000 switches on eBay that look like they might be adapted to the Patrol, but wanted to ask here before I take a shot in the dark. Please share your wisdom.

P.S. - Is this the correct switch for a '69 Patrol? It certainly doesn't look like it's the proper fit for the location of my missing switch.

It looks exactly like the one I took off of my 67 (except the stalk should be chrome), but it is not at all like the 69 with self-canceling signals. Unless maybe you have an early 69.

Plateau cal makes a good point, we don't know if your Patrol is a 'true' 69 or a 68-sold-as-a-69. There are differences, and one is the turn signal switch. Pictures would help.
