Really old stuff that got saved. Here are the old Nissan Patrol Club America messages from the 'General' category. Warning, it's dusty in here!

If you are asking about oils for an early model Patrol, I would suggest 80-90w gear oil for the transmission, transfer-case, axle differentials and steering box. Synthetic oil is better, but costs a lot more. You might consider an oil additive. I've had really good luck with a product called "Pro-Long": it's a bit pricey, but it works.I use 20-50 weight oil in my Patrol's engine, along with Pro-Long additive, but any good-quality oil, either straight 30w, 10-30w, or 20-40w will work fine. The main thing with engine oil is to change it and the filter often.

Lucas oil addative is good for the engine as well as all other places. It is thick like maple syrup. You can put as much as 100% in diff. & tranny but it sure is stiff shifting in the winter. Engine can have  50% or 60%. It's about $5/qt. Or cheaper by the gallon.  Keith
