New patrol owner

Post by mattmctree@gmail.com »

I just bought 2 patrols. A 65 that is pretty good shape and a 69 that is only good for parts. I will try and get some pics up.
I noticed that the front cab mount are a bit rotten on the bottom has anyone repaired any before and is it hard?

Hey Matt- Congrats on finally pulling the trigger! I know you've been off and on the board for quite some time...

The front cab mounts are an integrated part of the firewall- do you mean that the metal itself has rotted through?, or is it just the rubber that is getting shaggy?

Yes I bought them both from bc. One is a 65 and the other is a 69 that has been bastardized.

Yeah . That looks like the one I got! I ran into a snAg as the paperwork from the owner was never transferred to his name when he parked it on his property and now the bill of sale and the registration don't match so I unable to register it in Ontario. The previous owner is sorting out paperwork and hopefully everything works out otherwise I got 2 trucks I can't do anything with

Thats a shame about the paperwork hiccup!

It really sounds like the "title" or lack there of can cause a lot of grief for you guys and those in the states.

Yeah. It can become a real pain. I especially between provinces here in Canada. I'm sure it's a chore state to state as well in the us . I'm looking forward to getting it solved. How does it work in Australia?
