Newbie in the British Virgin Islands

Hello folks, strictly speaking I should wait until my 1973 Patrol arrives from Japan...BUT assuming it does here I am.
Lived and worked in the BVI for the last 21 years.
I fix boats, build boats and re-tube RIB's
I owned an old Patrol 20yrs ago here, it was mostly timber cladded and went by the name 'Woody'.
I was trawling a Japanese web site for a works tow truck and saw this Patrol.
Couldn't resist.
Before arriving in the BVI I lived on a farm, the Patrols remind me of our old tractors!
Anyway, here she is.

Congratulations on your 'new' Patrol!
That's a great looking Patrol, you must be very anxious to get it. I'm sure it will give you many years of very good service. It will probably be the only Patrol on the islands? Very cool. Post more pictures when you can.

Welcome Richard! You will find this a very friendly forum, with folks willing to help. Also there is a wealth of technical info on this site, in many different areas so spend some time looking at the various sections. I'm new here too, and have been very impressed with this forum.
Great looking soft top Patrol. The guard over the headlights are cool; maybe someone can tell us whether that is a factory accessory.
By the way, what is a RBI?

So, here are a few more pics.
A RIB is a rigid inflatable boat, we stick new tubes on them.
I'm going to need a RHD drivers seat (or at least a drawing of one)...the seat it has looks functional but everything else on this truck looks very original.
No idea if it comes with a spare tyre or not, we'll see.
I'll try to find an old photo of my BVI Patrol 20 yrs ago, it's long gone of course.

You can probably source a driver's seat from Australia. Check out G60michal's posts in the Parts category. He might have one.

Welcome to 60Patrol Rich!
You have a great looking Patrol there. Congratulations.
Some questions and call for more pictures will be coming once the Patrol is in your hands. For one, the three wipers are unusual for that year. They surfaced around 1977. Maybe something just Japanese models had. Same with the mirrors.

OK, as promised, here are some shots of 'Woody' from '94/95
The plate VI20 means that this was the 20th vehicle registered in the BVI
The roads around the island were pretty poor in those days, this truck simply went anywhere.
The chassis rotted out at the rear spring hangers and eventually she was scrapped (but driven up onto the wrecker) 2004ish.
Wish I had kept parts, but no had resources to do that at the time.

Welcome! Thats a great looking Patrol you got from Japan. Love the old photos of Woody, the one with the outboard mounted crack me up!!!
