Rear Name Badge Size?

Got rust? Seats, panels, doors, windows, etc. The old messages from the NPCA 'Body & Interior' category are here.

Rear Name Badge Size?

Post by Marshall »

I saw this thread and am trying to figure out the size of this metal plate/sticker.
RiverPatrol wrote:I can solve the sticker vs metal plate for the rear name badge mystery for you. Patrols had a metal plate on the rear until 1967, then they started using the sticker. If your other G60 is missing the sticker it may indicate that the panel was repaired and/or painted in the past.
Could someone with the rear metal plate, or sticker measure it for me? maybe take a picture of it, thanks!

I'm going to have some metal plates made, if anyone would like one, send me a PM.

I have my original metal one. It measures 8-11/16" x 2-11/16" (220mm x 68mm).

I also did a scan years ago, for member Bgaidan who did the metal plate emblems as well as the decals once. I installed the metal one in 2008 and has been great.

I sent you a PM with my email, since I will need yours. The scan that I have is at 300dpi. Let me know if you need it in a different resolution. My plate is sitting at my desk at home.

I will definitely want to have another metal one. :D I personally think that the decals don't look the part in a vehicle like this. They might be period correct, but certainly a sign that Nissan was looking for ways to save some cents.

I'll do you one better than that...

I'll send you an original rear metal plate along with your brake adjuster. You can take the measurements on the plate, and the letters, etc...

Then you can just send me back my original, and one of your reproductions, when they are ready... Deal? :D
