So my yellow could be original?

I was under the impression that our 66 Patrol was not originally yellow. I was flipping through my parts manual tonight and came across "DN541 Yellow". I searched google for this color and didn't see any results. I searched for yellow nissan patrol l60 and found some but can't verify it's the correct color.

Has anyone seen a yellow Patrol? I remember when I post my pics on my first thread "River Patrol" said it's not a stock color?

Help me find the answer, gurus!!!

Yes, Nissan code 541 yellow was an available factory color on Patrols; but I don't think 541 is the shade of yellow that's on your truck (unless your posted photos are not rendering your truck's color as it really is). The factory yellow was more of a "mustard" yellow, whereas your truck looks like a brighter shade of yellow to me (again- just judging by your posted pics- Maybe your truck's paint is indeed 541 yellow...? )

Here is a photo I saved of a yellow 63 that went in an estate auction in California a couple years ago:

Yellow seems (to me, anyway ;) ) like it was more common color on the early US patrols, then it faded in popularity in the later 60's -

There was another yellow (covered in black primer) 63 soft top for sale up in Oregon recently (check the vehicles for sale forum and I'm sure you'll find it)

Original yellow hardtops seem like they were pretty rare, indeed- JWgreen's 69, and the yellow 65 that RatPatrol66 recently purchased (http://www.60patrol.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=3459), are the only factory yellow hardtops I can even think of off the top of my head...

The folks who have been Patrollers for longer than me will certainly have more information, or will know of more yellow trucks that are still around

Here is a paint color card that shows 541 yellow (lower left corner):

Yeah my 69 is a factory Yellow Patrol, although not for much longer, and is akin to the Yellow on the lower right of the above paint card. There are pics of it in my gallery from when I was disassembling it.

That yellow one with snow chains is AWESOME!!!! Yeah I don't think mine is the 541 Mustardy color, but it resembles the one posted here. Thanks for posting the color chart, it gives me an idea of the colors that are listed in my manual!

I'm pretty keen on 564, 927, & 660! I think since it's a '66 (before they came with a paint code on the body?) I can pick any color I want? Although, the yellow is growing on me!!

I took an outdoor pic and an indoor pic today, maybe it shows the color a little more true? It looks like the area around the grille is a bit brighter.

After further reserearch, (not too hard with the thick yellow paint peeling off in places) I've determined the rig used to be white. It seems it wasn't prepped before it was painted so there are a few areas where i just chips off and underneath is white paint!

The wife asked, "So are we keeping it white now?!" But I still think we both like the Mt. Fuji Blue.
