Second time around 65 Patrol

Post by ratpatrol66 »

I sold this thing in 2001 and it went to Canada until last Saturday. Lots of talk with the previous owner and an offer was made, know it's mine again. More pics to follow.

Welcome to 60Patrol! :text-welcomeconfetti: That is one of the rare factory yellow Patrols.

Didn't you get it from the guy in BC that has a bunch of Patrols? I remember a yellow one in that lot.

Nice that you decided to resurrect this one. Keep us posted with your progress. :D

Congrats on the addition. The body looks to be in good shape.

I'm going to back this up to the first time around. Some time in the late 90s while buying parts for my 66 at Gordon Nissan in Burlington, WA. The parts manager told me of 2 Patrols (65 and 66) for sale in Anacortes, Wa. and that I should have a look. So I made the call to have a look and bought both Patrols.

I got this into the shop this last weekend. The fuel was nasty, gave me one hell of a head ache. Drained 5 gallons of the worst smelling gas ever, pun intended! Pulled the carb and it looked real clean, installed a new float, needle, seat, and gaskets. Just couldn't wait to fire it up so I put a boat tank in it. Took a couple tries but it fired and ran great. Of course I had to take a short joy ride.
