Okay, my super-duper headlight relay is functional (but somewhat untested as my Patrol is still apart and can't be used for testing... soon though! Anyway, just for fun, I put together a guide on my DIY headlight relay.

You can find the full pdf copy here: http://www.balestrini.net/public/Headli ... tem.v3.pdf

Here it is:

Just a quick heads-up that I realized I'd missed an important step in my guide. The kids and I put a few of these together following my own directions. I discovered a mistake when testing them -- At least its an easy, quick fix!

Anyway, I swapped two wires in the jacks just to avoid ever connecting the black wire to hot (in DC wiring, black is ground). No biggie, but if you missed it, the relay won't work.

All the pictures in my previous post have been corrected as has the link to the pdf.

I hope I didn't cause any headaches!

Wait a minute... I know what's really going on here...

Your daughter is enrolled in auto-shop class, and you're doing her homework for her.... aren't you ?

Well, I'm onto you Captain Odo, and I'm telling her shop teacher.

This time you're not gonna get away with it. Graduating from Odometer tampering to Academic Fraud is nothing more than a cry for help...

Get yourself straightened out, and back on the right path Son; before it's too late.

Next thing you know, you'll be dropping brass slugs into parking meters, and it's all down hill from there.
