Interesting but a little off on facts, I have loved oddball cars since the seventies. I have tried to buy in person (pre internet) an Isetta, Bmw 700 and even a Glas. The 0.7 moter he mentions was for the larger (not much) Bmw 700. It was at least twice as big as an Isetta single cyl.chain driven micro car. The Isetta owner sat on ground and I think used a nickel to remove a little panel by rear wheel and showed me this 250 05 350cc lunger with chain and sprocket...Luv this s***

If I'm not mistaken (and Mike probably knows more about this vehicle trivia stuff than me, so he can correct me if I am ), but wasn't the Farmobil the pre-cursor to the Unimog? and they changed the name when Daimler bought Fahr, and ditched the BMW engine for a Mercedes engine?

Not at all. The Unimog was designed shortly after WWII, and the other is in the early '60s.

The read was good and what interested me is seeing another very good vehicle that for one reason or another fell by the wayside. They claim that the Farmobile was made in Greece but at the time Greece was not in the car tax group for europe, it was taxed as an import. Next they tried Belgium (?) but that did not come through. Like our Patrols in the States.....sometimes a great car gets politicized or squashed because it is too good....or a business sacrifice.......57 miles an hour.....flyin'!

Clarification Bmw 700 ENGINE was twice the size of the Isettas
