Welcome to 60Patrol!
Thanks for dropping by.
Well, I guess you should be looking for an engine.
What do you want to use it for? Typical rust areas are in the rear around the tail lights, at the seat belt anchors, behind the fender vents, over the rear wheels.

Thanks for the heads up, I'm thinking some sort of Nissan repower. I have a sd33 but don't think that will provide enough umpf. any suggestions would be gladly received. Any idea of what a 67 hard top with out drive train + good condition + generally all there - spare tire hanger is worth? thanks a bunch Adam in Nebraska

A Patrol with no drivetrain is worth maybe a couple hundred.
There isn't a common or standard tried and true drive train swap for the Patrol, especial here in the US. Our Australian members have a few different drivetrains they put in.

Really? Only a couple of hundred? Yikes , I was more than prepared to pay much more than that. I was actually thinking 2000-2500$ I guess I am way off? I have paid that much for nice scouts & early 74 ramchargers, w/ out power trains & come out ahead......am I missing any thing?

It doesn't really matter what year it is. The huge difference between the Patrol and other 4x4s is that you can find power trains for the other 4x4s a lot easier. You won't likely find a stock power train for the Patrol, and anything else you put into it will require major modifications. The differentials are offset, so that limits the options. On top of that your going to have to rebuild the brakes. The diffs should be okay, unless there's a busted axle, which happens but isn't real common.
For $2500 you could find one that runs, or could run without too much work. There was one in NE last year that went for $1000 and it was complete, and it pretty decent condition. That was a rare find though. It was recently on eBay in MO and they were trying to get $3500.

Alright - thanks , I was under the impression that the rarity made them more money than that. Thanks & I will let you guys know how it ends up. This one has sat inside for more than 10 years.
