I spy a Toyota rear axle....

I love the look. Love the camo. I even like what looks like a modified Jeep CJ7 folding softop.

If it's well engineered and mechanically sound (doesn't overheat etc) then this is a smoking deal for someone looking for a hot-rod 4x4...

agree- another thing I noticed: front fender indicator lamps are gone - odd. Perhaps the camo is actually camo-ing some ugly bondo work...

I'm trying to understand that top... It looks great but not stock. the slanted opening looks jeep. If somebody contacts him/her please ask how that top was done..

It's not a Jeep TJ top. the side and rear panels are not TJ, and the tops of the side door openings on TJ's are rounded, not square like this one.

I think it is either a full custom job, or it is a modified aftermarket top for either a CJ or a YJ, with a modified Jeep CJ or YJ frame underneath it.

But's it got me thinking  , because it looks like it belongs on the vehicle (may you Patrol purists out there have mercy on my soul  )...

Agreed, with the jeep frame, the YJ factory top frames almost look square.. Or they used the jeep theory of "door frame sticks" and used conduit for the rest.. If you cap the top of the doors you can add slot holes for a soft upper door.. at least that was my idea.

i went back and read the Craig list add, thinking that he stated he used a jeep top to make that, but it wasn't there. I sure thought i read that somewhere. maybe another rig. :?
