Fender Emblem

Hey Guys
Just wondering if anyone knows if the Nissan Patrol fender emblem has ever been reproduced? Ive got a couple of old Nissan Patrol emblems but the little 'knobs?' on the back that click into the fender have been broken off and I think its a bit too fragile to repair.
Ive asked a couple of places and so far its either remoulding (They want about $300 a badge

) or laser cutting and routing which would be a lot cheaper but will not be exactly the same as the original.
Any ideas??

I am not aware of any place that has successfully reproduced the fender emblems. A member here started an attempt at recreating the emblem but never perfected it.
I have some that the mounting posts are missing, too. I just figured I would use 2 sided tape or emblem adhesive to mount the emblem, like modern vehicles use.

Oh OK. Ill look into it. Thanks.
What about restoring the badges? Is there a specific finish which would look like the original? Anyone ever got them professionally re-chromed?

I got a quote a couple of years ago to re chrome the badges and it was $150 each! Needless to say I didn't really need them done that badly!

Thats a bit dear mate. I went to Sterling Plating at Heidelburg West and they're pretty fair with the prices. $40 min charge, more items more discount.
It seems to me the badges are not 100% metal, i think they have plastic and metal in them and i'm worried the re-chroming process will damage the emblem.

Its expensive because it a plastic, earlier badges are cast
