Howdy folks! I live in the mountains of Co and am the owner of TWO L60's. I didn't know much about these trucks until a few years ago. My buddy bought a house and one was sitting on the property. He asked if I would come get it off his lawn and I thought sure why not. It's a hard top and had been sitting with the engine apart for some years and no title. The second one is a rare "softie". I found it in a field about a year later. This one is 100% original with a title AND I actually got it running without too much work! I haven't really decided what to do with these yet. Any suggestions?

Welcome to 60Patrol!

You found the right place for all of your Patrol related questions.
Nice score on both of your Patrols. The softie does look to be pretty complete. I'd be putting my time into getting that one going. They're both great rigs though.
Funny, I have a matching set that I picked up out your way; a hard top and a softie from Montrose. I've always heard that there were quite a few Patrols in that area.

Thanks River Patrol. There are a lot in this area. My two were actually sold from a dealership right here in Glenwood Springs. I think you're right too. Getting the soft top going is the plan. I might part out the other to fund it.

The softy looks to have a side mount spare tire>> Does it also have a tail gate?
Oh wait I see it now, never mind..
Nice score. Two of my patrols had come from Colorado..

wow, how lucky can a guy get? did you go buy lottery tickets too? nice Patrols, welcome to the site. my Patrol came from Grand Junction, CO and if you decide to sell one of those, please list them here before trying evil bay or craigy boy to sell them. i bet there are several people besides me that would love to have a soft top.

NICE!
Your location brings back a flood of fond memories... I spent a summer during college working as a civil surveyor in and around the tunnels and the big concrete bridges on Interstate70 west of Glenwood Springs, back when they expanded the highway to 4-lanes during the early 90's.
I lived down the road, and across the river from New Castle during that summer - For a young, adventurous fisherman and outdoor nut, that summer was like 4 months in heaven.
I'm sure I would not even recognize that area now.
Have fun with your Patrols, and welcome to the forum...

Thanks, Robert. I moved out here ten years ago from the east coast and I still marvel at the engineering and beauty driving through Gwood canyon!
