Post by Coyote Patrol »

Not sure if anyone has found these yet, but here it is. transfer case input seal NAPA # 17758, CARQUEST # 710345, transfer case output, and pinion seals NAPA # 18979, CARQUEST # 224870. All of these seals are around $8.00-$10.00 each. :D

Excellent info Ron.

I have one question. The transfer case output and pinion seal (front and rear diff) is a double sided seal, much wider (one lip seals the oil, the other lip seals the water from going in). Are you planning on using 2 together to accomplish the same purpose?

I know in most cars these seals are only single lip (sealing element).

I had Carquest match these pinion seals, they told me these were almost identical to the originals. I will receive them on Saturday. I will know more then. Most pinion seals i have ever installed are a double lip. If these are not, i will find some that are and repost them. I will also have front wheel bearing seal, and transmission input seal part #s in the next couple of days. :D

Ok, i just did some research on the pinion seal NAPA part # 18979. Description says: dual lip spring loaded. Typical applications: engines, axles, transmissions, pumps, motors, speed reducers, etc. I would imagine these seals do a pretty good job of keeping water and debris out. :D

These seals from EBAY are a perfect fit for the pinion and transfer case output, i have installed them. 50x73x12 double lip seal. The carquest and napa seals do fit, but the inner diameter is a bit tight. :D

You probably posted this somewhere but I can't seem to find it. Do you have the link or item number for the Ebay listing for these seals?

Thanks, but could you narrow it down a little more? That seller has 9,250 items listed for sale. You should be able to copy the URL/link and then paste it here. Or maybe just the item number.
