Sad to say, but I'm afraid RMP&O has gone by the wayside. Life got in the way of the Patrol passion. I imagine he will be back from time to time, though. After all, he still has at least 2 Patrols. Collectively, we have all learned a lot from Ian and each other. Short of having a special contact to obtain those impossible to get parts, I think we'll just have to pool together to accomplish what we did before. Some of us have already done that. Ian taught us how to dig and be creative and perservere in that mission to find the parts we need. Maybe we just got a little lazy knowing that we could just depend on him when we needed that certain part. The Internet is a great source for parts, but I know of at least a couple people with little or no Internet access that obtain whole Patrols and even PTOs. I can still be done, it's just a little harder. Maybe this site will start being as busy as it once was. After all, this is where RMP&O got it's start.

True! Patrol owners can be resourceful. I just think of all the info that the site had accumalated. Is it forever gone??????????????? Sure wish I had it in book form. I put alot of time in to keeping up whith each post daily & adding my .02 worth now & again. I feel like we all will be losing a part of us. Keith

Hell-o there P-trollers! RMP&O is not gone for good. The website is just down currently. The website costs money to keep online. It came due on August 25th and I just don't have the cash to pay for the website right now, today. The info on my site is not lost, I do believe it is just on hold until I pay for the website. How long it is on hold before gone for good I am not sure. I do plan to get the site back up but right now today that is not going to happen. It may happen in a week or maybe 3 weeks. Leslie is correct...real life and priorities got in the way of my hobby. Many of you have sent me emails in the last six months requesting info and or parts. I am truely sorry for not replying to you people. It is not nor never was my intention to ignore any one of you. But I must keep my prorities straight or I loose more than just my Patrols. FYI, I broke my leg in 4 places two years ago. I had no insurance and spent 4 days in the hospital. I had suergery 4 times on my leg. The medical bills came to near $50,000 for this. On top of that I run a small seasonal business. This business is my livelyhood and my life. It is my source of income and what I do....when the leg got busted up it was during the peak of my working season. I was laid up for over 3 months unable to work. I got a little bit strung out on pain pills which in turn resulted in some bad decisions being made. All this hit me hard finacially. I tried to deal with it and keep my passion for Patrols going. Ya know when you get bummed on life you try to focus on the things that make you happy even if those things don't help your situation. But in time it became obvious I can not put effort, time and money into my hobby when other things in life require my full attention. So this last year I have been focusing on getting things back to where they need to be in my life and my business. That means Patrols for me have been pushed aside completely. I realize you all don't need this info on me....but I offer the info in an attemp to explain myself and why I have let some of you people down. Things are improving for me little by little and I have some big projects coming up next year. So if all goes well I will be back into Patrols in a year or two. Until then I can't dump time, effort and money into a hobby. On a side note...I still have 4 Patrols. Two of these Patrols are for sale. The one Patrol I really want to keep for many years is down in South America still, the 1980 LG61. I am loosing my shop at the end of October so I do not have a place to keep projects and parts in six weeks. I am selling 2 trucks and all my parts stash to fund getting the LG61 into the USA. So if you are looking for a unique Patrol I have 2 for sale at way less than they cost me. The stock pile of parts is pretty much already sold so please don't ask me about parts. I didn't want to mess with selling one thing at a time so I sold it all in a bulk load. If you are interested in the trucks call me for more info....307-734-0543 Thnx all, Ian

Ian, IMHO I don't think you have let anyone down. You have done more for the Patrol community than any one could ever ask of you. Believe me we all let life get in the way of our hobbies sometimes. Thats why they are called hobbies instead of a job. After all you sure can't eat Patrol parts. I truly hate to hear that you will be losing your shop. I really liked those heated floors. I belive life is all about timing. Sometimes our timing really sucks, but there is always tomorrow. Hang in there buddy we're all pulling for ya. Think positive!! Don't worry us Patrol fanatics will still be around (not if but) when you get back on track. We all hope your stock pile of parts went to a good home. Any details????? Email me if there is ever anything I can do to help you. I know Arkansas is a long way from Wyoming, but hey you know Danette is always up for a roadtrip. Keith
