Dave, the 67 half year two liter roadsters had 140 mph speedometers in them, and would do around 120 to 125 on a long straight stretch or road

I'm not sure if I mentioned I had a Roadster when I was 19-20. I was so proud of it. I had even come across a great deal on a new soft top, frame and boot cover from a neighbor. The thing was redone and painted so cheaply and it was apparent, except to my young eyes. My cousins best friend from ID came around for a visit and upon ranking hard on my Roadsters' condition....then he displays his belt buckle and says "see that, my belt buckle (rich hops farmer did have a 5000 dollar buckle) is worth more than your whole car and walks off. It crushed me but I loved that thing. It was a 68 I think....handled awesome....1600 that would do.....well you what it would not do.....120!
BTW, that guy is so unhealthy from all the alcohol and blow he did back in the day. When I see him I remind him how crappy he looks and point to my beltless Carhartts and and say, "see that, thats worth more than anything you'll ever have!"
I always wished it were a 2000.....Roadsters Rock.

cool, it is funny how things turn around and come back to square. it is never too late to get another one Dave. i am looking, and think i am going to do an engine swap on my next one.

no the roadster boys are big time into SR20 Turbos my 69 was about 150 hp and we are talking 300 or better with this set up.
