I got the orignal passanger seat recovered last week and now its in the truck, starting to get it the way I want it.

Well I won some GU Patrol rims on EBay and getting some rubber on them later in the week


To get ready for the new wheels I have started cleaning up the hubs, here is the before

Now I have to get some silver paint to finish it off but you get the idea.



Also scored a original driver’s seat from Swerve and am in the process of getting it cleaned up

Got my new wheels put on today still need to do some painting and have ordered some new wheel nuts to finish it off.

Fixed my wobbly steering today with a new steering dampener


Here is the old and new one

Made a big difference on the short test drive no crazy steering wheel going over speed humps and gutters

Next job on the weekend is to install new Shocks all round.

New Shocks are in and they made a big difference to the ride very happy

Got a new exhaust system fitted using the original mounts, Sound is a lot quieter as it was a bit loud with the window down before.

Also we have started working on some panel work starting with a spare door I have but after that we have to start pulling panels off and it will be off the road as we work on each panel then the respray

So this weekend will be going for a drive up the coast before its garaged.

Started pulling panels off today and found a surprise my radiator is all falling apart at the top I wish we had found this earlier as I had a spare

If anybody has one or know of a good replacement please let me know the search has started...

Added radiator re-core to the list of things to do thanks Ross and Ferdy for your advice.

Some other rusty surprises I have found while pulling it down but on the most part it not too bad.





Also found a place to get most of the rubber parts I will list what I have so far:

2m Sponge Seal lower door @ $10.85 AUD/m


7m Sponge Seal door @ $16.20 AUD/m
This does all around the door except the bottom


2.5m Quarter Vent Seal @ $13.75 AUD/m
Does not do the bottom of the Quarter windows I will be reusing the original rubber.
They also have the rubber that the window glass slides in for $50/m


1.5m Canopy window seal @ $8 AUD/m
It’s the grey strip that sits around the outside around the glass.


Will be going back this week for some other rubber parts as im taking samples of my vents and shifter boots so will post my findings.
