New to the site, Just Aquired Andrews 69 Patrol, HAd been Talking to him For weeks. He did a video walk through,Numerouse Pic's etc. Befor I made the 6.5 Hour drive.
Took us 4 hrs. to get the deal doen. ( needed to drive it, Understand what he had doen to it, where he got it, etc. Whoop! I got a uhaul and took it home behind my 2006 Nissan Titan! (Its a Bad Machine). So is My new Patrol. Lots of work to be doen to get it Road or off road werthy. My need some parts. Heater Core and interior heater stuff. The whole gromit. If any one can help please let me know. I hear theres a guy in Central Washington with lots of Parts>>>>. Thanks Andrew!

Thanks For the Welcome, i'm in Yakima, Wa by the way. Do these things Have timing marks on the Crank pully? Got this thing Idoling good but think the timing is off or carb need some adjustment.... can you say backfire? Been tinkering. Not quite there yet. Can't get the timing light to flash. May have to do the spark plug wire thing. 50 car... how do I get a tour of your parts........... We could be good buddies.

Yeah there are some indentations on the crank pully, you might need to re mark them as normally very hard to see.,

Regarding timing, you have 4 marks in the pulley. In the direction of rotation, the first mark to arrive is 15°BTDC, then 10°, 5°, and the last one is 0° TDC. Timing is setup at 10°BTDC @ 450 RPM.

Hope you fix your timing lamp.

Ok, here's one I have not found a definitive answer to, and I can't remember for the life of me how I set it on my 67 a million years ago:

Is the intital timing setting supposed to be 10° BTDC with the vacuum advance disconnected and plugged? or is it supposed to be 10° with the vacuum advance hooked up and pulling on it, which would actually translate to about 0-4° without the vacuum adance hooked up?
