Great Job Esteban, any chance if you found out about a rebuild kit? I see they have a bunch a "gaskets" listed but no pics..

I have no idea. I had the link above saved from a few years ago, that somebody posted on the internet.

Although all the fuel pumps made over the years are exactly the same on the outside, the diaphragm leg changed in two or three slightly different lengths (probably under the advice of the accountants) so they are not interchangeable.

I had a diaphragm from the early 70s and it fit perfectly on a pump that came from a 1983 P40 engine.

Hi Esteban,

I'm rebuilding my fuel pump, and unfortunately I received a rebuild kit from NAPCO, 71-0185. The bottom of the box says "Nis-P 1971.......
So, I'm assuming I purchased the incorrect rebuild kit. ARRRRGGGG!!!!

So, I have a 1967 Nissan Patrol. Should I go ahead and just order the forklift fuel pump that you mention in the post? Thank you for your suggestions. I really want to get this puppy running and you and River Patrol both have such great posts.

and I notice they are not available any more....and $660 bucks.....whew........

Any suggestions on where to purchase a rebuild kit for a fuel pump for a 1967 Patrol.......I'm a newbie, and just getting used to the forum, etc.......

With that outrageous price for the fuel pump at a couple of sites, I will install an electric fuel pump in the meantime. A universal electric fuel pump 4-7 psi will do it. I think a couple of members have done it. I would go that route in a heartbeat if that was my case.

Some purist here will not like it, but you can keep the old pump covering the hole and wait until the repair kits could be sourced. In Colombia and Australia you can definitively can find, if you have a contact there.
